Ephemeris

EPHEMERIS depicts the movement of the sun over the course of a person's life. 8 million data points were generated using an extremely accurate sun position algorithm (PySolar) projecting 80.96 years into the future, starting from the opening night of the exhibition. The vantage point is taken as the gallery space. The piece is intended to highlight the beauty of natural motion with elegant patterns arising from the data, but also be a poignant meditation on the passing of time.
